Attorney Ashkan Najafi assists inventors and businesses with acquiring and maintaining patent, trademark and copyright protection, as well as enforcing such intellectual property rights against third-party infringers. Prior to opening his own firm, Mr. Najafi was an associate at an intellectual property law firm which handled similar cases and is ranked as one of the top 100 intellectual property firms in the United States.

Mr. Najafi graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Industrial/Systems Engineering in 1998 and received his law degree from Stetson College of Law in 2001. He passed the Patent Bar examination during his final year of law school and the Florida Bar thereafter. Before attending law school, Mr. Najafi worked as an engineer for a Fortune 500 company in Tampa, FL, where he acquired a working knowledge of technical matters that may be useful to your needs.

To date, Mr. Najafi has personally prosecuted patent matters in the electrical, mechanical and software/business method arts. Mr. Najafi also has experience in preparing novelty and infringement opinions, negotiating licensing agreements and prosecuting trademark matters for clients.
